Making Flash Look Like Natural Light

In this Speedlight Photography Class, we will jump right in to the use of speedlight on camera and off camera. We will begin with the basics of understanding the flash and why you want to use a speed light. Learn also how to get a natural looking light from this powerful lighting tool.

We will play with modifiers so you can get a firsthand experience on how they work and what they can do for your images. We will work with some fun modifiers like Multi-Flectors, Snoots, Gels, Honeycomb Grids, and the Speedbox 60.

Lighting is one of the most important elements of a photograph. The quality and type of light can really set a picture apart from the others, and can lead to the storytelling of your image.

One convenient way of shooting in low-light, indoor situations is to use speedlight flashes. It is also often used to add some fill light to an outdoor location shoot.

What to bring:

  • Camera and Flash
  • Speedlight

All speedlight modifiying tools are supplied.

This is a hands on class and we will be photographing in the studio
