This two-session course simplifies the use of Lightroom and Photoshop for people photography.
Patrice will begin by using Lightroom for basic editing and file management.
• White Balance
• Exposure Control
• Noise reduction
• Local Adjustments
• Blemish Removal
• Color correction and shifting
• Black and White conversion
• Cropping/vignette
• Optimal settings for saving to web and printing
Utilizing PhotoShop for retouching including:
- Using layers
- Blend modes and selections
- Blemish removal
- Teeth whitening
- Fixing bloodshot eyes
- Eye brightening
- Improving skin tone
- Skin shine removal
- Body/face reshaping and contouring
While not absolutely necessary, students are encouraged to bring a laptop with Adobe Lightroom Classic CC and Photoshop CC installed to try some of the techniques.
Objective
This class seeks to arm students with the knowledge necessary to gain proficiency with editing and retouching photos of people. Students will finish the course with a better understanding of how to approach working with their photos whether it’s a large group of photos or a single, detailed image.
Audience
This class is targeted for students who have a basic understanding of digital photography and are looking to increase their proficiency in portrait photography editing and retouching.
Each class needs a minimum number of students to enroll before the class can “make.” If the minimum enrollment has not been met two business days before the class begins, the class will be cancelled. All students who enrolled in the class will be notified by telephone or email, and may transfer to a different class or be issued a refund (see refund procedure). We encourage all students to enroll as soon as registration begins.
Photos On The Vine is a local photography studio which also holds various types of photography classes from beginner classes to studio lighting.
Attendees can receive refund up to 1 day before event start date.
